My name is Dale Payne, and I am the founder of G.O.D Body fitness. I decided to start my fitness journey about four years ago after both of my parents past from health complications. I was sad and moving closer and closer to a deep state of depression.  Than one night I was home and I know I heard God say… “Go get a Gym Membership!” And I did just that and it was one of the best decisions I could have ever made ! I went starlight to planet fitness and signed up.  At first I would just go to use the treadmill anytime I was sad or upset and just run run run until I was to tired to run. I kept going and start to feel better mentally and physically. My confidence was coming back, my attitude was more positive and I started to see my body change! Developing a love now for fitness I started following all the Instagram & YouTube fitness pages and would started learning about my new passion. As the months went by the weight & depression kept falling off. Ninety pounds down  later and some help from my brothers in Christ and I’m on stage for the first in my life competition my first bodybuilding show. See thats where the name G.O.D body come from. The acronym for God means gift of discipline because disciplining yourself to achieve and over come in trail in your life is the best gift you can give your self.  I thank God everyday for this gift. Now with my gift I’m not only using it for my bodybuilding career but also to help others who are  struggling with mental health, obesity, or just need an outlet to get away from what every I’m here you them all. I have a love for fitness and the people and pray I can continue to help change others lives for the better like it has changed mines. 
HOW DOES FITNESS PLAY A ROLE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE?
People really don’t understand the importance of fitness and maintaining good health. Fitness has saved me from future life threatening conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure & depression.
Fitness has played such a positive role in my daily life  because not only it has prevent these future problems that could happen but also in my everyday living. See in order to meet any fitness goal whether you are a bodybuilder, powerlifter, football player the formula will always be the same to hit your goal.
Make a plan, discipline your self to your plan, be consistent and most importantly NEVER GIVE UP!
That’s how you hit your goals in everyday life!
WHAT IS A TRAINING MISTAKE THAT MOST PEOPLE MAKE?
One of biggest training mistakes I see in the gym has to be form. Proper form is so crucial  because it helps us avoid injury and improve performance. Having good form  helps you work smarter, not harder and focus on intended muscles and not others . Making a commitment to fitness means observing the big details as well as small things like form for better success.
DO YOU COMPETE IN A SPORT? IF SO, TELL US ABOUT IT?
I am a Amateur GBO( Global Bodybuilding Organization) natural athlete.  I have been bodybuilding for the last two years. I completed in my first show in 2020 in the Matt Storm Classic for men’s novice Classic Physique.  I respect all my feel of bodybuilding brothers and sister because it’s just as hard on your mental as it is on your physical. Training 6/7 days a week and staying strict to a nutritional plan can be tough but bodybuilding is not for weak. You have to have a love for the sport and I do. I love everything about it.  The training, the eating to the posing I love it!
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE WHOSE BEGINNING THEIR FITNESS JOURNEY?
Never give up on you. That is not who you are!
You are not a quitter! You will overcome! Just stay consistent and Understand if you stick to the pro you will be successful. You just have to be patience and do it for you! Not for anyone else but for you!
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED ALONG THE WAY IN YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY?
That you can’t out work a diet! For all the people who just looking to lose their belly fat I have quick tip for y’all. It’s all diet. You can run, lift and even take fat burners all you want. If you don’t have a proper nutritional plan you will not lose that fat.
