Tell us about yourself?
I am 34 years young and recently moved to Houston from Lafayette, Louisiana. I have been a personal trainer for almost two years and I absolutely love what I do and am always working towards making myself better, expanding my brand, meeting new people and helping each other fulfill any fitness goals.
How does fitness play a role in your daily life?
I have been into fitness since my college years at Grambling State University where I was a base on the cheerleading team. After college I fell off my fitness game, didn’t like the way my body was forming without diet and exercise, for myself together and in shape and developed a purpose in wanting to help others do the same. Once my body began transforming it became a new lifestyle for me. I now workout 3-5 days a week and also train clients 4-5 days a week.
What is a training mistake that most people make?
People always make the mistake of getting satisfied and then comfortable with their results and/or fitness goals and then stop working out or eating properly. They don’t realize that you must maintain that progress you made or it will go away and then you’ll gain everything back that you lost and have to start over from scratch. Once you reach your fitness goals, aim higher or continue to do the work to maintain your progress.
Do you compete in a sport? If so, tell us about it.
No I do not compete in a sport at this time but I will say that it was the sport of cheerleading that started my fitness journey and began shaping my physique and increased my strength.
Whats your favorite cheat meal?
My favorite cheat meal is fries and pasta. Not necessarily together but I love love love fries and seafood fettuccine to be exact. Oh and crawfish. Geeze Louise I love crawfish lol
What have you learned along the way in your fitness journey?
I’ve learned that it’s the process that matters more over the progress. You have to trust that what you’re doing will get you to where you wanna be if you stay consistent and committed.
What is your life motto?
“Be yourself because everyone else is already taken.”
