Tell us about yourself?
I started my fitness journey about 6 years ago in hopes of becoming more confident in myself and my body. I lacked knowledge about fitness and nutrition, but knew I wanted to learn, grow, and better myself all around. Since then, I’ve found my passion lies in health and fitness – which I use as an outlet to inspire and motivate others!
Whats your favorite cheat meal?
I’m a huge foodie so I can’t pick just one! But my go-to’s are a burger & fries, sushi, and always something to satisfy my sweet tooth (which usually includes chocolate!)
What is a training mistake that most people make?
One of the biggest mistakes you can make while training is not allowing your body to rest! Prioritizing rest is a game changer for your body’s recovery.
Do you compete in a sport? If so, tell us about it.
I started my first bodybuilding prep about a year ago and had a successful season competing in the bikini division. When off-season began, I took up powerlifting to keep myself challenged and motivated. I’ve fallen in love with both sports, and am absolutely obsessed with the community of teammates I’ve gained along the way!
What advice would you give someone whose beginning their fitness journey?
The best advice I can give a new athlete is to find a coach/trainer to show you the fundamentals! Having the proper guidance really makes a difference in terms of progression and laying a solid foundation for your fitness journey.
What have you learned along the way in your fitness journey?
There are so many things I’ve learned thus far! But the biggest lesson would be to never stop learning. You will never know everything or have it all figured out. There is always room for growth and improvement. Be humble, be curious, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
What is your life motto?
One thing I always say is that showing up is half the battle. You won’t always be motivated, but if you have discipline then you will always find a way to get it done. I’ve never left a workout and regretted it! Endorphins are magical thing, y’all.
